I Love You Deeply
Where you may be
Look to the stars
You'll see me there
where ever you are
I Love you deeply
the stars will tell you
When I look to the stars
I see your face
I love you deeply
the stars will tell you
They are my witness
on a lonely night
Cause when you're not with me
they fail to give light

Super foods help combat an assortment of ailments
By Cheryl Embrett
One of the best prescriptions for good health is also one of the easiest to follow: watch what you eat. Every day, new studies prove that eating the right foods regularly can help reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease, banish the blues and increase energy and vitality. Here are 10 nutrient-packed “super foods” that should top everyone’s grocery list.
1. Broccoli
This is one mean green! Broccoli is chock-full of the phytochemical sulforaphane, which makes headlines because of its potent anti-cancer properties. It’s also a rich source of beta-carotene (good for the eyes and immune system, among other things), fibre and vitamin C.
Toronto registered dietitian and author Liz Pearson was so convinced of the health benefits of this “King of Cruciferous Vegetables” that she called her first book When in Doubt, Eat Broccoli! But Leave Some Room for Chocolate (Penguin Books, 1998). For fast, easy and delicious ways to add vegetables — including broccoli — to your diet, visit 5 to 10 a day.
2. Blueberries
If you haven’t gone blueberry picking since you were a kid, here’s a reason to start again. In a peer-reviewed study of 100 common fruits, vegetables and nuts in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, these blue jewels had one of the highest antioxidant capacities (the ability to combat cell-damaging free radicals that can lead to heart disease and cancer). And, like cranberries, blueberries appear to fight off urinary-tract infections by preventing E. coli bacteria from sticking to cells in the urinary tract.
John Stanton, president of the Running Room Canada, says he always starts his day with a big bowl of fresh fruit, including blueberries when they’re in season. “It’s light, it’s healthy, and then I’m ready to run.” For more on the power of blue, including tasty recipes for everything from wild blueberry chicken breasts to blueberry sorbet, check out Wild Blueberries.
3. Flax
“Ground flaxseed is the one thing I make sure I eat every day,” says Mairlyn Smith, co-author of The Ultimate Healthy Eating Plan That Still Leaves Room for Chocolate (Whitecap Books, 2002). Smith says flax is a great source of both soluble and insoluble fibre (which makes it a natural laxative) as well as plant lignans which may reduce the risk of developing hormone-sensitive cancers, such as prostate and breast cancer.
Flaxseed is also high in Omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to protect against heart disease. Smith eats a flaxseed muffin or sprinkles a tablespoon of ground flaxseed on her cereal every day. For more information on the health benefits of flax, including delicious ways to cook with it, visit the Flax Council of Canada.
4. Garlic
Since ancient times, physicians have used the “stinking rose” to treat health conditions including heart disease. Garlic contains allicin, a phytochemical that may lower cholesterol and make blood platelets less sticky, cutting the risk of clots.
In Mississauga, Ont., naturopath Rana Singh swears by the immune-boosting, cold-fighting power of the humble garlic bulb. He recommends chopping or crushing two or three cloves of fresh, raw garlic and adding them to whatever you’re eating.
For information on the health benefits of garlic and great ways to cook with it, visit The Garlic Information Centre and Garlic Sleuth. (Note: Consult your doctor before including more garlic than is customary in your diet.)
5. Green tea
Green tea is loaded with powerful antioxidants, which may protect against cell damage that leads to aging and help prevent heart disease and cancer. Green tea contains a polyphenol known as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg), which in animal tests has been shown to prevent the formation of tumors. Researchers at Purdue University found in laboratory tests that EGCg killed human breast cancer cells but did not kill non-cancerous human breast cells.
Paulette Bourgeois, author of the Franklin the Turtle series of kids’ books, drinks green tea several times a day. “It’s not only healthy, it’s soothing,” she says. For more information on the health benefits of tea, visit the Tea Association of Canada.
6. Skim milk
“The one food I consciously remind myself to consume and monitor regularly is milk, since I know that I may not drink enough of it in the course of my regular routine to keep my bones strong,” says food writer and cookbook author Dana McCauley.
She’s not alone. Most women don’t get enough calcium, and one in four white women (the rate is lower in black and Hispanic women) will develop osteoporosis. Studies have found that increasing your calcium intake can also help relieve the symptoms of PMS.
To meet your daily quota, reach for three servings of milk or milk products. After a tough workout, make it low-fat chocolate milk, advises McGill University fitness coordinator Jill Barker. “It has the requisite amount of carbs and protein needed to promote optimal recovery in the working muscles.”
Visit the Dairy Farmers of Canada for more tips on adding calcium to your diet.
7. Salmon
Fresh or canned salmon is one of the best sources of the celebrated Omega-3 fatty acids, which can help prevent heart attacks. Studies have also shown that Omega-3 may have the ability to offset depression as well as protect against inflammatory diseases such as arthritis.
“I try to eat salmon twice a week, as do my kids,” says nutritionist Rosie Schwartz, author of The Enlightened Eater’s Whole Foods Guide.
8. Soy
Protein is one of the nutrients that most women don’t get enough of. They should have a protein-rich food every three to four hours during the day to keep energized, says dietitian Linda Barton.“Soy is perfect since it’s a plant-based protein that’s low in saturated fat.”
Soybeans and soy protein products — including tofu, miso, tempeh and soy drinks — also contain phytoestrogens that may slow the growth of some cancers, lower cholesterol and offer some protection against osteoporosis. Visit the Soyfoods Association of North America for more information and recipes.
9. Spinach
When asked to name one of her favourite super foods, Toronto registered dietician Leslie Beck praised spinach. It’s loaded with energy-promoting iron and folate, a B vitamin that prevents neural-tube defects in the fetus. It is important in red blood cell formation, protein metabolism, growth and cell division. The leafy green is also one of the best sources of lutein, an antioxidant that benefits eye, skin and cardiovascular health. For more information on the health benefits of spinach, visit Wholehealthmd.com.
10. Tomatoes
Research has found that tomatoes, especially cooked or processed ones, can lower the risk of some cancers and heart disease. Experts attribute this to lycopene, a potent antioxidant and the pigment that makes tomatoes red. A Harvard University study found that men who regularly ate tomato-based foods had lower rates of prostate cancer.
“We love tomatoes,” says Diane Clement, who founded the popular Tomato Fresh Food Cafe in Vancouver. She and her husband, Dr. Doug Clement, start their evening meal with their favourite tomato and bocconcini cheese salad. “The juicy tomatoes, loaded with lycopenes galore, are the perfect healthy jumpstart for any body,” she says. For more nutrition facts and recipes, visit California Tomatoes.

USEFUL HOME REMEDIES
ACNE, BLACKHEADS, AND PIMPLES:
Dab a small amount of toothpaste (paste, not gel) on pimples before bed; this helps dry out the pimples.
Mix equal amounts of lemon juice and rose water, apply to face with a cotton ball, and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing. 15-20 days of this application helps cure pimples and also helps to remove blemishes and scars.
Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning.
For acne that hasn't seemed to respond to anything, steep 2-3 tsp. dried basil leaves in 1 cup boiling water for 10-20 minutes, cool, and apply to affected area with a cotton ball.
ANEMIA:
Avoid drinking tea (regular, not herbal varieties) and coffee immediately after meals, as the tannin present in these interferes in the absorption of iron from the food.
Drink a cup of herbal tea mixed with 1/4 cup blackstrap molasses each day. This provides 80% of the iron needed in one day.
Foods high in iron: lean beef, lean pork, skinned poultry, shellfish, fish, liver, organ meats, egg yolks, pinto, kidney, lima, navy, chick peas, black-eyed peas, lentils, split peas, green peas, spinach, kale, collards, beet greens, chard, broccoli, raisins, prunes, figs, dates, dried peaches, dried apricots, nuts, peanut butter, whole grain breads.
Your body absorbs iron from meats easier than fruits and vegetables. To aid in the absorption of iron from fruits and vegetables, eat them with a good source of vitamin C.
ARTHRITIS:
A daily serving of fresh fish or fish oil capsules helps to give relief of arthritis and other joint pains.
3-4 walnuts eaten daily, on an empty stomach, will help.
ASTHMA:
Mix 1 tsp. honey with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and take it at night before going to bed.
Avoid taking aspirin, as this may invoke an asthma attack.
BAD BREATH:
Boil some cinnamon bark in a cup of water. Store it in a clean bottle in your bathroom. Use it as a mouthwash frequently.
Parsley leaves are rich in chlorophyll, nature's own deodorizer. Chew some leaves regularly and your breath will remain fresh.
You can chew some cardamom seeds to sweeten your breath.
BLADDER INFECTION: Take a bag of fresh or frozen cranberries and boil them in water (they will fall apart). Cool and drink. Don't add sugar! This remedy is also useful for people with kidney problems. BLADDER STONES: Boil 2 figs in 1 cup of water. Drink daily for a month. BRUISES: Slice a raw onion and place over the bruise. Do not apply this to broken skin. COLD AND FLU: Here is a delicious recipe for a cold and flu soup: Saut 6 crushed cloves of garlic in 1 tsp. vegetable oil until golden. Pour in a quart of beef or chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and whisk in 2 egg whites. Beat together 2 egg yolks and 2 Tbls. distilled white vinegar; pour this mixture into the soup. Season with salt and pepper and top with croutons, if desired. CONSTIPATION (IN ADULTS):
Eat a few black licorice sticks.
Take apple pectin.
Make sure you're getting enough Folic Acid in your diet.
Drinking ginger tea will help start a bowel movement.
CONSTIPATION (IN SMALL CHILDREN): Soak 6-8 raisins in hot water. When cool, crush well and strain. When given routinely even to little infants, it helps to regulate bowel movement.
COUGHS AND ASTHMA: Steep 3-4 cloves of garlic in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks. Use several drops at a time, several times a day for coughs or asthma. Garlic is an exceptional cleanser for the body and has antimicrobial action similar to other antibiotics.
DAMAGED, DRY HAIR: A nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tbls. water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up and then rinsed until all of the egg is washed away.
DANDRUFF: Pour distilled white vinegar onto the hair, as close to the scalp as you can manage; massage into the scalp; and allow to dry for several minutes before washing as usual. Repeat daily until the dandruff disappears, usually within a few days.
DARK CIRCLES AROUND EYES: Make a paste out of 1 tsp. tomato juice, 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder, and 1 tsp. of flour. Apply around eyes. Leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing.
DEPRESSION: 3/4 cup of cooked spinach a day is enough to give dramatic relief from depression if you are deficient in B vitamins.
DIARRHEA: Eat boiled sweet potatoes seasoned with salt and pepper before bedtime to cure chronic diarrhea.
DRY SKIN: Combine 1 cup oatmeal, 1 cup warm water, 1 Tbls. vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup baking soda in a blender or food processor until you have a smooth paste. Pour this paste under the running water while drawing the bath. Very soothing to dry, itchy skin.
EARACHE: Steep 1-2 tsp. chamomile flowers in boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Strain out the water, and apply the hot flowers in a cloth for alleviation of the earache.
ECZEMA: Rub a whole nutmeg against a smooth stone slab with a little water and make a paste. Apply on affected parts. (Note: It is believed by some rural, old fashioned practitioners that instead of water, one's own early morning saliva can be used for better results.)
ENERGIZER: Simmer 1 cup honey and 3 cup water together slowly. Allow 1 cup of the water to evaporate. Strain off the top surface, and put the remaining liquid into a stoneware crock or dark bottle. Put a towel over it so it can breathe, yet be free of dirt. Place in a cool place. You can add cinnamon, clove, or the juice of 2 lemons, if you like.
EYE PROBLEMS: Simmer 1 cup water and 1 tsp. honey for 5 minutes. Dip a cloth in the liquid and apply to the closed eye.
FACIAL CLEANSER: Mix 2 Tbls. cornstarch, 2 Tbls. glycerin, and 1/2 cup water until smooth. Heat in a small pan placed in a water bath inside another pan. Heat until thick and clear; it will have the consistency of pudding. Do not boil. Cool completely, Use in place of soap to cleanse your skin. (If mixture is too thick, you may thin it by adding a little water, 1 Tbls. at a time, until you reach the desired consistency. )
FATIGUE: Take a glass of grapefruit and lemon juice in equal parts to dispel fatigue and general tiredness after a day's work.
GUM IN HAIR: Soak the gum-coated hair in Coke and it should wipe out easily.
HAIR LIGHTENER: To lighten hair, use 1/4 cup chopped fresh rhubarb to 2 cups boiling water. Cool, strain, and apply as a rinse.
HANG-OVER: Eat honey on crackers. The fructose in the honey will help to flush out the alcohol in your system.
HAY FEVER: Steep 1 tsp. fenugreek seed in 1 cup water, covered, for 10 minutes. Drink 1 cup a day to help hay fever symptoms.
HEADACHE: Eat 10-12 almonds, the equivalent of two aspirins, for a migraine headache. Almonds are far less likely to upset the stomach.
HICCUPS: Only 2 remedies have I ever know to actually work. The first listed makes the most sense, since a hiccough is simply a spasm of the diaphragm, and you need to disrupt this spasm. The second offers no rhyme or reason, but works nonetheless.
Breath in as deeply as you can, then exhale as hard as you can; repeat 10 times; when exhaling the last time, keep the air pushed out, not taking another breath for as long as you can stand. This normally works the first try, but repeat if necessary. Be sure to sit down when doing this.
This is a remedy only feasible when sitting at a bar. Have the bartender fill a small glass with club soda. Light a match and drop it, then drink the water quickly (being careful not to drink the match). It works, but I don't know why!
Drink 1/2 glass water, slowly.
Keep a tsp. of sugar in your month and suck slowly.
Suck 2-3 small pieces of fresh ginger.
Take a large mouthful of water with out swallowing, plug both ears, and slowly begin to swallow the water. Unplug your ears and you're hiccup free! (Submitted by Mrs T. Falkmann)
Eat a heaping teaspoon of peanut butter all at once. (Submitted by Tracy Pletcher)
HICKEY:
Coat area liberally with lotion. Rub with the back of a cold spoon vigorously for as long as you can stand to, changing out spoon for new cold one every 10 minutes. Recommended time for this treatment is 45-60 minutes. Why it works: a hickey is a bruise; the discoloration of a bruise is caused by blood accumulating under the skin from broken capillaries; this remedy breaks up the old blood so it can be reabsorbed by the body more quickly, therefore diminished the discoloration.
Rub white toothpaste over the hickey, allow to dry, and later, wipe it off with a warm facecloth. After a few applications, the hickey will be faded. Do not use gel toothpaste. (Submitted by Hot Rod Anne.)
INSECT BITES: Mix water with cornstarch into a paste and apply. This is effective in drawing out the poisons of most insect bites and is also an effective remedy for diaper rash.
MORNING SICKNESS: Mix 1 tsp. each fresh juice of mint and lime, and 1 Tbls. honey. Take 3 times a day.
MOSQUITO BITES: Apply lime juice diluted with water on bites with cotton ball.
MUCUS IN COUGH: Pour 1 cup boiling water over 1/2 tsp. each of ginger, ground cloves, and cinnamon. Filter. Sweeten with 1 tsp. honey and drink.
MUSCLE CRAMPS: Apply clove oil on the affected body parts.
NAUSEA: Boil 1/2 cup of rice in 1 cup of water for about 10-20 minutes. After it is boiled, drain the water into a cup and sip at the rice water until symptoms are gone.
OBESITY:
Mix lime juice with honey and water; drink a glass of this every morning.
Mix 3 tsp. lime juice, 1/4 tsp. black pepper, 1 tsp. honey, and 1 cup water; drink a glass a day for 3 months.
Mix 1 tsp. lime juice with 1 cup water and drink each morning.
Eat a tomato before breakfast.
OILY SKIN: For oily skin, mix 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal, 1 egg white, 1 Tbls. lemon juice, and 1/2 cup mashed apple into a smooth paste. Apply to face and leave on 15 minutes. Rinse.
OVERWEIGHT: Effective at getting rid of fat, drink up to 3 cups of green tea daily. Regular tea can also be used with a lesser effect.
PAIN RELIEVER: Mix 3 Tbls. of honey in boiled water and drink. Honey has natural pain-relieving powers.
SMELLY FEET: Soak feet in strong tea for 20 minutes every day until the smell disappears. To prepare your footbath, brew two tea bags in 2 1/2 cups of water for 15 minutes and pour the tea into a basin containing two liters of cool water.
SMOKING HABIT: Lick a little salt with the tip of your tongue whenever you feel the urge to smoke. This is said to break the habit within 1 month.
SORE THROAT: Mix 1 tsp. lime juice and 1 Tbls. honey. Swallow tiny amounts slowly 2-3 times a day.
SPLINTERS:
Lay scotch tape over the splinter and pull off.
Soak the area in vegetable oil for a few minutes before removing with tweezers.
STOMACH ACHE: A simple cure for a stomachache is to dissolve 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon in 1 cup warm water, cover and let sit for 15 minutes, then drink it like tea. This remedy can also ease diarrhea and flatulence.
STOMACH ACIDITY:
Drink coconut water 3-4 times a day.
Have a plateful of watermelon and/or cucumber every hour.
SUNBURN: Mix 2 tsp. tomato juice and 1/4 cup buttermilk. Apply to affected area. Rinse after 1/2 hour.
TOOTHACHE & MOUTH PAIN: To ease toothache or other mouth pain, make a tea by boiling 1 Tbls. fresh peppermint in 1 cup water and adding a little salt. Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol, which relieves pain when applied to skin surfaces.
VARICOSE VEINS: Take 2-3 tsp. black strap molasses orally daily. This also treats all kinds of circulatory ailments.
VOMITING AND NAUSEA:
Sucking a piece of ice controls vomiting.
Eat 1/2 tsp. ground cumin seeds.
Cinnamon and sliced ginger work by interrupting nausea signals sent from the stomach to the brain. If you are an herbal tea drinker, simply sprinkle cinnamon on the tea and drink. To make ginger tea, simmer a few slices of ginger in hot tea water.
WARTS: Try taping a slice of garlic to the wart. Be sure to first protect the surrounding skin with petroleum jelly.
WEAK NAILS: To strengthen and shine nails, combine 2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. castor oil, and 1 tsp. wheat germ oil and mix thoroughly. Pour into bottle. Shake before using. To use, rub a small amount into your nails. Leave on 3-5 minutes and tissue off. Follow up with more plain castor oil, if desired.
WRINKLES & SKIN FRESHENER:
Combine 2 Tbls. vodka, 1 Tbls. fennel seeds, and 1 1/2 tsp. honey. Stir well and allow to sit for 3 days. Strain mixture. Use full strength or add 2 Tbls. water to dilute. Use a cotton ball to apply to face as a toner. Apply coconut oil on the portions of skin and face where wrinkles set in and gently massage every night at bed time.
YELLOW TEETH: Mix salt with finely powdered rind of lime. Use this as toothpowder frequently.

CLEAR MIND NEGATIVITY
Clear the Mind of Negativity & Fill it with Positivity !
Make a list of the things that worry you most and decide if they are in your circle of influence or worry. Think about what you can really do to have an influence on each of them in an effective way. By determining which of these two circles is the centre around which most of your time and energy revolves, you can discover a great deal about your level of positivity.
Positive people focus on the things they can do something about. If necessary, they change their attitude. They are aware that perhaps they cannot change the circumstances but they can improve their inner attitude. This is what positive focusing is all about:
Being creative
Thinking differently
Being open to listening
Being more understanding
More communicative And,
Showing more solidarity.
Reactive people focus on the problems of the circle and on the circumstances about which they have no control. They react to the defects found in other people. From this worrying, accusations, destructive criticism, feelings of blame, a reactive language and feelings of weakness and frustration can arise. They want others or the circumstances to change first and when that happens, then they will change. Whenever they think that the problem is on the outside, this thought is the problem.
The negative energy produced as a result of this approach, combined with the lack of attention to the areas in which they could do something to improve the situation, means that the area of influence decreases in size. They give power to what is external so that it dominates them. In other words they think that change must come from "outside towards the inside"; they think that something that is outside must change before they themselves change.

YOU'RE WHOLE OF MY DREAM
You are whole of my beautiful dreams,
put together, and rolled into one.
You're the moon and stars in my sky,
and the light of my morning sun..
You're my first thought in the morning,
and my very last thought each night.
Dreams of you hold me through my day;
bring comfort to me, until morning light.
You have brought me a world of love,
which fills every emotion within me.
A world I always knew could exist,
but not one, I ever thought I would see.
A beautiful world that can only be seen,
through the hearts of two joined as one.
One that paints all of the colors of love,
more deeply within, as each day is done.
A portrait of love, captured by my heart,
and reflected so deeply into my soul.
Embracing me within beautiful dreams,
from love so precious, it makes me whole.

WOMEN'S HEART
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up against injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without new shoes
so their children can have them.
They go to the doctor
with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear
about a birth or a new marriage.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They have sorrow at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think
there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all sizes,
in all colors and shapes.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope.
They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.

HOME REMEDIY FOR LEOCODERMA
LEUCODERMA / VITILIGO
Leucoderma, also known as vitiligo, is a distressing skin condition. The word literally means white skin. There is a gradual loss of the pigment melanin from the skin layers which results in white patches. These patches look ugly, especially in persons with a dark complexion. The condition does not cause any organic harm. This disease is caused neither by any germs, nor is it due to bad blood. It is considered to be neither infectious nor contagious.
Leucoderma Symptoms
Small white patch appear in the beginning
The problem usually starts with a small white spot which later develops into patches. These patches are pale in the beginning, but become whiter and whiter as time passes by due to loss of pigment. As the spots enlarge, they merge into each other and, in course of time, form a very broad patch. In some cases, most of the skin of the body may be covered with white patches.
Leucoderma Causes
Excessive mental worry, chronic or acute gastric disorders
The main causes of leucoderma are said to be excessive mental worry, chronic or acute gastric disorders, impaired hepatic function such as jaundice, worms or other parasites in the alimentary canal, typhoid, a defective perspiratory mechanism, and burn injuries.

These patches are pale in the beginning but become whiter and whiter as time passes due to loss of pigment. As spots enlarge, they merge into each other and, in course of time, form a very broad patch. Leucoderma does not differentiate between races, religions or even socio-economic groups. Females are more commonly affected than males. The main causes of leucoderma are said to be excessive mental worry, chronic or acute gastric disorders, impaired hepatic function such as jaundice, worms or other parasites in the alimentary canal, typhoid, a defective perspiratory mechanism, and burn injuries. Heredity is also a causative factor and about 30 per cent of patients have a family history of the disorder. Treatment of vitiligo usually takes a long time. Medical treatment helps arrest the spread of depigmentation and in some cases, may bring back the pigmentation. The most commonly affected areas are face, neck, back, wrist, hand, groin, genitals, armpits, etc.
Heredity
Heredity is also a well-recognized causative factor.
HOME REMEDIES FOR LEUCODERMA
Leucoderma treatment using Psoralea
The best-know home remedy for leucoderma is the use of seeds of psoralea (babchi). These seeds should be steeped in the juice of ginger for three days. The fluid should be renewed every day. The seeds should then be rubbed with the hands to remove the husks, dried in the shade and powdered. One gram of this powder should be taken every day with one cup of fresh milk for forty days continuously. The ground seeds should also be applied to the white spots. Babchi seeds, combined with tamarind (imli) seeds. are also useful. An equal quantity of both the seeds should be steeped in water for three to four days. They should then be shelled and dried in the shade. They should be ground into paste and applied to the white patches for a week. If the application of this paste causes itching, or the white spots become red and a fluid begins to ooze out, this treatment should be discontinued.
Leucoderma treatment using Red Clay
Another useful remedy for leucoderma is red clay found by the river side or on hill slopes. The clay should be mixed in ginger juice in a ratio of 1:1, and applied over the white spots once a day. The copper contained in the clay seems to bring back skin pigmentation. Ginger juice also serves as a mild stimulant, facilitating increased blood flow to the spots. Drinking water kept overnight in a copper vessel will also help.
Leucoderma treatment using Radish
A paste made from the seeds of the radish is valuable in treating leucoderma. About thirty-five grams of these seeds should be powdered in two teaspoons of vinegar and applied on the white patches.
Leucoderma treatment using Goose Foot
The use of goose foot is beneficial in the treatment of this disease. This vegetable should be taken twice daily, in the morning as well as in the evening, for two months continuously. Simultaneously, the juice of the leaves should be applied over the patches of leucoderma.
Leucoderma treatment using Turmeric
Turmeric mixed with mustard oil has also proved useful in leucoderma. About 500 gm of turmeric should be pounded and soaked in 8 litres of water at night. It should be boiled in the morning till only one litre of water is left, and then be strained and mixed with 500 ml of mustard oil. This mixture should be heated till only the oil is left. It should then be strained and preserved in a bottle. The mixture should be applied on the white patches every morning and evening for a few months.
Leucoderma diet
Fast of juices followed by restricted diet of fresh fruits
Constitutional measures should be adopted to cleanse the system of accumulated toxins. To begin with, the patient should undertake a fast of juices for about a week. After the juice fast, the patient may adopt a restricted diet consisting of fresh fruits, raw or steamed vegetables, and whole meal bread or chapatis. Curd and milk may be added to this diet after a few days.
Well-balanced diet
The patient may, thereafter, gradually embark upon a well-balanced diet of seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables, and fruits. This diet may be supplemented with cold-pressed vegetable oils, honey, and yeast. Juice fasting may be repeated at intervals of two months or so.
Avoid tea/coffee, polished rice, tinned or bottled foods etc.
The patient should avoid tea, coffee, alcoholic beverages, all condiments and highly- flavoured dishes, sugar, white flour products, denatured cereals like polished rice and pearled barley, and tinned or bottled foods.

EXAM STRESS..WAY OUT
Students in the UK praying for their exams to pass of without a hitch, and good
results now have a specific prayer they can use, thanks to the Church of England.
In a bid to bring divine inspiration to all corners of modern life in these testing times,
the Church of England has published a series of prayers online to help students and
teachers to cope with exam stress.
Students may find peace in the prayer that gives thanks for "stories in the Bible that
show us that being worried and afraid are common feelings".
They may take heart at the appeal for divine intervention "when things seem impossible".
They may even find the inner grace to "celebrate with all our classmates, families and
friends as they fail or as they succeed".
However, they are less likely to find reassurance in the prayer for teachers that begins:
"I don't suppose you have time for this, Lord", which laments the tendency of pupils to
forget "things that normally they know, like their names and the date" and ends with the
words "at this moment they really need your help".
The Rev Janina Ainsworth, chief education officer for the Church of England, said that
the prayers were intended for use in assemblies but could easily be adapted for personal
use by students and teachers seeking peace.
"Everyone involved in education knows the pressures of the exam season. Whatever one
thinks about league tables and the relevance of academic achievement, Christians are
called to consider the broader picture," TimesOnline quoted her, as saying.

LEG PAIN
Pain in legs, coming on after walking a moderate distance often arises from narrowing of the blood vessels leading to these areas. If the vessel becomes completely blocked, gangrene may result and the toes become dark and cold. This is most frequently seen in cases of uncontrolled diabetes.
People with varicose veins suffer from swelling of the veins, followed by muscle cramps and a tired feeling in the legs behind the knees. In some cases the skin over the lower part of the leg may break down, forming a large, ugly ulcer, which is often painful.
Leg cramps can occur due to running, walking, riding a bike, standing up, even sleeping. While every lower-leg injury has its specific biomechanical causes, all are rooted in tight calf muscles and relative weakness in the front leg muscles. This is very, very common in runners, since running tends to exercise the calf muscles more than those in the front.
Anterior shin splints is defined as the pain in the front and outer edge of your legs. The main cause of shin splints is tight calf muscles and weak shin muscles, the injury may have been further aggravated by a variety of factors. Shin splints are very common among beginning runners.
Posterior shin splint may be defined as the pain on the inner side of your leg, right where the calf muscle meets the big shinbone. The cause of this may be straining of a muscle that gives some support to the arch of your foot.
Achilles Tendinitis may be defined as the pain in the lower calf along the Achilles tendon, the cord connecting the heel to the calf muscle. The main cause of this may be extra pulling of the tendon, which causes a lot of pain in legs.
HOME REMEDIES FOR LEG PAINS
Grab your upper lip between your thumb and index finger, and squeeze for about 30 seconds to get relief.
Grab the cramping muscle tightly, pushing your fingertips deep into the cramp for about 10 to 15 seconds, then release. You can repeat as often as necessary to relieve the cramp.
After the cramp is gone, stretch out the muscle but begin slowly and without bouncing on it. To begin, sit down on the floor and extend the leg. Then reach out and gently pull your toes toward your knee.
Drinking a cup of water (about eight ounces) every 20 minutes before, during and after exercise will help keep your system from dehydrating. Dehydration helps to prevent cramping.
Boil 1-teaspoon saffron in 1/2 cup water. Let it reduce to become 1 tablespoon. Divide this solution into three portions and take with equal quantities of water, thrice daily for a couple of days. This is very effective home remedy for leg pains and will help to reduce the pain.
A diet high in natural fibres from fruits and vegetables, pulses, whole grains, calcium, magnesium and vitamin E rich foods also help in fighting against the joint pains.
Drink 1 cup of warm water mixed with limejuice and honey to reduce pain.
Avoid mental tensions that lead to stress. Lose weight, if necessary, to get close to your ideal weight. If you weigh less, there is less weight on your joints and less pain.
Take foods rich in calcium and protein. Exposure to sunlight for vitamin D is also good. Milk and milk products, ragi, drumstick leaves and drumstick are excellent sources of calcium and sprouted pulses and nuts are very good sources of protein for a vegetarian. Include these foods in the daily diet.
During the painful stages it is important for the patient to have one or two rest periods during the day.
Add one-tablespoon cod liver oil to the juice of one orange, whip and drink before sleeping.
One raw clove of garlic every day is very beneficial. This clove can be fried in ghee (clarified butter) or castor oil. Take for 2 months.
Drink 15 grams of fresh bathu juice daily with an empty stomach without adding any salt or sugar to it. This is very effective home remedy for leg pains.
Massage the affected area with any oil will to provide relief from the pain.
Drink a cup of papaya seed tea six or seven times daily for two or three weeks for relief from joint pain.
Heavy meals, meat and fish, sour fruits and fried foods should be avoided, as they are difficult to digest.
Consumption of rice during nighttime should be avoided. Among fruits bananas are considered best as they provide strength to the joints and grease them.
To get relief from a severe leg cramp in the calf muscle, flex your shin muscle (which opposes your calf muscle) by pulling your toes toward your knee.
To ease the leg pains and reduce inflammation, ice your shins immediately after running. Use either a store-bought cold pack or simply freeze a wet towel before going out on a run. Whatever you use, wrap the ice pack around your leg and keep it on for 10 or 15 minutes, keeping your foot elevated all the while.
People with varicose veins suffer from swelling of the veins, followed by muscle cramps and a tired feeling in the legs behind the knees. In some cases the skin over the lower part of the leg may break down, forming a large, ugly ulcer, which is often painful.

REGULAR HEALTH MISTAKES
All of us make little health mistakes that cause damage to our bodies in the long run - simply because we are unaware we are doing something wrong. Here are some of the most common mistakes made by many of us. Crossing Our Legs Do you cross your legs at your knees when sitting? Although we may believe that this is the lady-like elegant way to sit, sitting this way cuts down circulation to your legs. If you don't want varicose veins to mar the beauty of your legs and compromise your health, uncross your legs every time you realize you have one knee on top of the other. The best way to sit is to simply place both legs together on the floor, balancing your weight equally. If you feel like changing position, instead of crossing your legs, simply move both legs together to one side. As an alternative, you could also consider crossing your legs loosely at the ankles. This is a classically elegant way to sit, and is far better for your legs and your health than sitting with your legs crossed at your knees. Not Changing Our Toothbrush
How often do you change your toothbrush? Most of us wait until most of the bristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we'd be embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until we lose it. Replace your toothbrush often. Damaged bristles can harm the enamel, and don't massage your gums well. If you find brushing your teeth a pain like I do, but know you must do it, you might as well be doing it right. Imagine going through the annoyance of brushing your teeth twice a day only to find out that you're damaging your enamel every time you clean your teeth. Also, use a brush with soft bristles unless your dentist has advised otherwise.
Eating Out Often
There are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harm and are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, it is never a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods. Remember that in all probability your favorite Indian food restaurant throws a huge, HUGE chunk of butter in a tiny bowl of dal. Rita, who worked in the kitchen of a 5 star hotel, was shocked when she saw the cook chop a 500gm butter slab in half, and throw half into a Paneer Makhani dish. No wonder the customers left licking their fingers. And no wonder they felt so stuffed and heavy afterwards. Limit outdoor eating unless you know that you"re getting served light and healthy food.
Skipping Breakfast
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it's been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, more than at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy through the day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying to diet, eat a light dinner. Here are some more common health mistakes we make. Being informed and making a few changes can help make us feel a whole lot better.
High Heels High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. This however doesn't mean you should steer clear of stilettos. Wear them, but not when you know you will be walking around a lot. Wear them when going out for lunch or dinner - when the only walking you will be doing is to your car, to the table, and back. Avoid high heels when you are going somewhere on foot. If you are constantly tempted to wear your heels, take a good look at your flats. Is there something about them you dislike? Invest in a new pair of beautiful flats or shoes with a low heel. Buy something you love, that you will enjoy wearing. If possible, get a matching bag. You will then enjoy your flats as much as you do your heels.
Sleeping On A Soft Bed You don't have to sleep on the floor be kind to your back, but do make sure you have a firm mattress. Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovely to sink into, it's bad for your back. If you already have an old bed with springs, you don't need to invest in a new one - simply get a thick wooden plank put over the springs, and place the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and get a new one. Your neck and your back will thank you. The same rule applies to sofas. If you will be spending hours on a sofa, get a firm yet comfortable one. Sofas you completely sink into are not the best idea. Pillows No matter how comfortable sleeping with ten cushions is, have pity on your neck and resist. Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thin pillow if you sleep on your stomach, and something a little thicker if you sleep on your back, to give your neck adequate support. Not Exercising So all of us know we should exercise more, but many of us don't. This is a health mistake we consciously make! And why is that? Simply because we refuse to admit the damage we are causing to our bodies by not working out.. A number of people only start working out once they've experienced a warning signal. Don't wait for a heart attack to strike before you decide to opt for a lifestyle change. Make the change now. You don't need to train for the marathon to be in top shape. Half an hour of brisk walking three to four times a week will make a world of difference to your health. You could then increase this to forty minutes, four times a week - and you're all set. If you haven't exercised for a week, you're making a mistake.

FALLING OF ELDER PERSON
Falls among elders is a common cause of morbidity , hospitalization , disability and death. Nearly a third of the elderly have falls that trigger a chain of events that usually have them succumb to the situation or leave them bed-ridden till the end comes. With age, the ability of the body to heal itself reduces considerably and the immunity drops. The muscles and ligaments tend to get more lax with bones becoming more brittle and porous.
Under these circumstances, even a trivial looking fall may prove fatal.
*Common causes of falls*
Reduced muscle strength, coordination and reflexes Poor sensation in the lower extremities due to diabetes or degenerative conditions
Poor balance due to neurological diseases, hypothyroidism or ear problems Poor vision
Postural drop in blood pressure Seizure disorders Strokes, transient ischemic attacks
Abnormalities of cardiac rhythm
Multiple medication use
Environmental hazards eg poor lightning ,carpets, rugs, clutter etc
*Osteoporosis*
Osteoporosis is a one major risk factor for falls. What is debatable is whether brittle bones break after a fall, or break when stressed
and in turn cause a fall. In either event, a decrease in bone density contributes to falls and resultant injuries
Osteoporosis is a condition wherein bones become more porous, less resistant to stress, and more prone to fractures. Caused by hormonal changes, calcium and vitamin D deficiency, and a decrease in physical
activity, osteoporosis is a chief cause of fractures in older adults, especially among women.
*Prevention Tips*
"Eat or drink sufficient calcium. Postmenopausal women need 1,500 mg of calcium daily. Calcium-rich foods include milk, yoghurt, cheese, fish and
shellfish, selected vegetables such as broccoli, soybeans, tofu and almonds.
"Get sufficient Vitamin D in order to enhance the absorption of calcium into the bloodstream. Vitamin D is formed naturally in the body after exposure to sunlight, but some older adults may need a supplement.
"Regularly do weight-bearing exercise.
*Lack of Physical Activity*
Failure to exercise regularly results in poor muscle tone, decreased strength, and loss of bone mass and flexibility. All contribute to falls and the severity of injury due to falls.
*Prevention Tips*
"Engage regularly (e.g., every other day for about 15 minutes daily) in exercise designed to increase muscle and bone strength, and to improve balance and flexibility.
"Undertake daily activities in a safe manner, such as reaching and bending properly, taking time to recover balance when rising from a chair or bed, learning the proper way to fall, and learning how to recover after a fall.
"Wear proper fitting, supportive shoes with low heels or rubber soles.
*Impaired Vision*
Age-related vision diseases can increase the risk of falling.
Cataracts and glaucoma alter older people's depth perception, visual acuity, peripheral vision and susceptibility to glare. These
limitations hinder their ability to safely negotiate their environment, whether it be in their own home or in a shopping mall.
Young people use visual cues to perceive an imminent fall and take
corrective action. Older adults with visual impairments do not have this advantage to the same extent.
*Prevention Tips*
"Have regular checkups by an ophthalmologist to discern the extent of age-related eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma, mascular degeneration etc.
"Use colour and contrast to define balance-aiding objects in the home
(e.g., grab bars and handrails).Add contrasting colour strips to first and last steps to identify change of level.
"Clean eye glasses often to improve visibility.
*Medications*
People taking multiple medications are at greater risk of falling Sedatives, anti-depressants, and anti-psychotic drugs can contribute to falls by reducing mental alertness, worsening balance and gait, and causing drops in systolic blood pressure while standing.
*Prevention Tips*
"Know the common side effects of all medications taken.
"Talk with your physician or pharmacist about ways to reduce your chances of falling by using the lowest effective dosage, regularly assessing the need for continued medication, and the need for walking aids while taking medications that affect balance.
"Remove all out-of-date medications and those no longer in use.
Limit intake of alcohol as it may interact with medication Environmental Hazards
Indoors
At least one-third of all falls in the elderly involve environmental hazards in the home. The most common hazard for falls is tripping over objects on the floor. Other factors include poor lighting, loose rugs, lack of grab bars or poorly located/mounted grab bars, and unsturdy furniture.
*Prevention Tips*
It is useful to conduct a walk-through of your home to identify
possible problems that may lead to falling.
*Outdoors*
Repair cracks and abrupt edges of sidewalks and driveways.
Install handrails on stairs and steps.
Keep floor dry, devoid of wet areas and greasy surfaces.
Keep walk areas clear of clutter, rocks and mud.
Install adequate lighting by doorways and along walkways leading to doors,
gates.
*Indoors*
Ensure adequate lightning inside the house.
Remove unnecessary furniture and over crowding.
Keep floor dry and clean and devoid of wires, toys etc
Indicate steps, stairs by painting in contrasting colours.
If person has had a fall, he should get him self properly checked out by a physician to assess the risks of falling again and to ensure safety at home. When When you go to see the doctor after a fall please remember to tell the doctor about all your current medications and medical conditions.

WHITE BREAD IS DEAD
White Bread = is “dead” bread
The Swiss government has been aware of the dangers of eating white bread for decades and in order to get its populace to stop eating it,
Switzerland has placed a tax on the purchase of white bread. The tax money is given to bakers to reduce the price of whole weat bread to encourage people to switch.
The Canadian government passed a law prohibiting the “enrichment” of white bread with synthetic vitamins. Bread must contain the original vitamins found in the grain, not imitations.
Essentially, white bread is “dead” bread. Frequently, consumers are not told the truth about this and so called “enriched” flour.
Why is the color of white bread so white when the flour taken from wheat is not?
It’s because the flour used to make white bread is chemically bleached , just like you bleach your clothes. When you are eating white bread, you are also eating residual chemical bleach.
Flour mills use different chemical bleaches , all of which are pretty bad. Here are a few of them: oxide of nitrogen, chlorine, chloride, nitrosyl and benzoyl peroxide mixed with various chemical salts.
One bleaching agent, chloride oxide, combined with whatever proteins are still left in the flour, produces alloxan. Alloxon is a poison and has been used to produce diabetes in laboratory animals. Chlorine oxide destroys the vital wheat germ oil. It will also shorten the flour’s shelf life.
Good Nutrition: You Won’t Find It In White Bread
In the process of making flour white, half of the good unsaturated
fatty acids, that are high in food value, are lost in the milling
process alone, and virtually all the vitamin E is lost with the removal of wheat germ and bran. As a result, the remaining flour in the white bread you buy, contains only poor quality proteins and fattening starch.
But that is not the whole story as to the loss of nutrients. About 50%
of all calcium, 70% of phosphorus, 80% iron, 98% magnesium, 75% manganese, 50% potassium, and 65% of copper is destroyed. If that is not bad enough, about 80% thiamin, 60% of riboflavin, 75% of niacin, 50% of pantothenic acid, and about 50% of Pyridoxine is also lost.
Scientific Study Has Confirmed What The Swiss Have Known For Years These horrific numbers are the results of a study run by the University of California, College of Agriculture.
It is obvious, from what we have learned, that white bread should be avoided. Whole wheat, rye, and grain breads made with whole wheat flour is a better way.
It is a good idea to always read the labels and never buy foods that contain artificial flavors, colors, bleached flour, preservatives, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.

AVOID STRESS
Don't let your own thoughts stress you out!
Think about how often we all have conversations in the privacy of our own minds. It happens, practically nonstop, all day long, every day of our lives. We’re in the car thinking about something – a deadline, an argument, a potential conflict, a mistake, a worry, whatever. Or we’re at the office or in the shower, doing the very same thing – and it all seems so real.
When we are thinking, however, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that we think thoughts, not reality. Let me explain. It may seem strange, but most of us have a tendency to forget that we’re thinking because it’s something that we’re always doing – like breathing. But until I mentioned breathing, you weren’t really consciously aware that you were breathing—were you?
Thinking works in a similar way. Because it’s such a part of us, we tend to give enormous significance and take very seriously most of the thoughts that drift through our minds. We begin to treat our thoughts as if they were the real thing, allowing them to stress us out.
If you reflect on this idea, you’ll probably be able to see the practical implications. When you have a thought, that’s all it is – a thought. Thoughts certainly don’t have the power or authority to stress you out without your conscious or unconscious consent. Thoughts are just images and ideas in your mind.

BODY AGES
WE all accept that getting older is inevitable, and now leading clinicians have revealed the exact age when different body parts start to decline, most alarming being the brain and lungs.
French doctors have found that the quality of men's' sperm starts to deteriorate by 35, so that by the time a man is 45 a third of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Here, with the help of leading clinicians,Angela Epstein tells the Daily Mail the ages when different parts of the body start to lose their battle with time.
BRAIN - Starts aging at 20
As we get older, the number of nerve cells - or neurons - in the brain decrease. We start with around100 billion, but in our 20s this number starts to decline. By 40, we could be BODY AGESlosing up to 10,000 per day, affecting memory, co-ordination and brain unction.
GUT - Starts aging at 55.
A healthy gut has a good balance between harmful and 'friendly' bacteria. But levels of friendly bacteria in the gut drop significantly after 55, particularly in the large intestine, says Tom MacDonald, professor of immunology at Barts And The London medical school. As a result, we suffer from poor digestion and an increased risk of gut disease. Constipation is more likely as we age, as the flow of digestive juices from the stomach, liver, pancreas and small intestine slows down.
BREASTS - Start aging at 35
BY their mid-30s,woman's breasts start losing tissue and fat, reducing size and fullness. Sagging starts properly at 40 and the aureole (the area surrounding the nipple) can shrink considerably.
BLADDER - Starts aging at 65
Loss of bladder control is more likely when you hit 65. Women are more vulnerable to bladder problems as, after the menopause, declining estrogen levels make tissues in the urethra - the tube through which urine passes - thinner and weaker, reducing bladder support. Bladder capacity in an older adult generally is about half that of a younger person - about two cups in a 30-year-old and one cup in a70-year-old....
LUNGS - Start aging at 20
Lung capacity slowly starts to decrease from the age of 20. By the age of 40, some people are already experiencing breathlessness. This is partly because the muscles and the rib cage which control breathing stiffen up.
VOICE - Starts aging at 65
Our voices become quieter and hoarser with age. The soft tissues in the voice box (larynx) weaken, affecting the pitch, loudness and quality of the voice. A woman's voice may become huskier and lower in pitch, whereas a man's might become thinner and higher.
EYES - Start aging at 40
Glasses are the norm for many over-40s as failing eyesight kicks in - usually long-sightedness,affecting our ability to see objects up close.
HEART - Starts aging at 40
The heart pumps bloodless effectively around the body as we get older. This is because blood vessels become less elastic, while arteries can harden or become blocked because of fatty deposits forming on the coronary arteries - caused by eating too much saturated fat. The blood supply to the heart is then reduced, resulting in painful angina. Men over 45 and women over 55 are at greater risk of a heart attack.
LIVER - Starts aging at 70
This is the only organ in the body which seems to defy the aging process.
KIDNEYS - Starts aging at 50
With kidneys, the number of filtering units (nephrons) that remove waste from the blood stream starts to reduce in middle age.
PROSTATE - Starts aging at 50
The prostate often becomes enlarged with age, leading to problems such as increased need tourinate, says Professor Roger Kirby, director of the Prostate Centre in London .This is known as benign prostatic hyperplasia and affects half of men over 50,but rarely those under 40. It occurs when the prostate absorbs large amounts of the male sex hormone testosterone, which increases the growth of cells in the prostate. A normal prostate is the size of a walnut, but the condition can increase this to the size of a tangerine.
BONES - Start aging at 35
'Throughout our life, old bone is broken down by cells called osteoclasts and replaced by bone-building cells called osteoblasts - a process called bone turnover,'explains Robert Moots, professor of rheumatology at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool . Children's bone growth is rapid - the skeleton takes just two years to renew itself completely. In adults, this can take ten years. Until our mid-20s, bone density is still increasing. But at 35 bone loss begins as part of the natural aging process.
TEETH - Start aging at 40
As we age, we produce less saliva, which washes away bacteria, so teeth and gums are more vulnerable to decay. Receding gums - when tissue is lost from gums around the teeth - is common in adults over 40.
MUSCLES - Start aging at 30
Muscle is constantly being built up and broken down, a process which is well balanced in young adults. However, by the time we're 30, breakdown is greater than buildup, explains Professor Robert Moots. Once adults reach 40, they start to lose between 0.5 and 2 per cent of their muscle each year. Regular exercise can help prevent this.
HEARING - Starts aging mid-50s
More than half of people over 60 lose hearing because of their age, according to the Royal National Institute for the Deaf.
SKIN - Starts aging mid-20s
The skin starts to age naturally in your mid-20s.
TASTE AND SMELL - Start aging at 60
We start out in life with about 10,000 taste buds scattered on the tongue. This number can halve later in life. After we turn 60, taste and smell gradually decline, partly as a result of the normal aging process.
FERTILITY- Starts aging at 35
Female fertility begins to decline after 35, as the number and quality of eggs in the ovaries start to fall. The lining of the womb may become thinner, making it less likely for a fertilized egg to take, and also creating an environment hostile to sperm.
HAIR - Starts aging at 30
Male hair loss usually begins in the 30s. Hair is made in tiny pouches just under the skin's surface, known as follicles. A hair normally grows from each follicle for about three years, is then shed, and a new hair grows. Most people will have some grey hair by the age of 35. When we are young, our hair is coloured by the pigments produced by cells in the hair follicle known as melanocytes.

ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP
8 Signs of an Abusive Relationship
Domestic abuse can be psychological, physical or sexual, and often partners are reluctant to believe there is a problem. In fact, a recent study co-authored by Patricia O'Campo, a social epidemiologist and director of the Centre for Research on Inner City Health at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, found that 54 percent of women in abusive relationships still viewed their partners as highly dependable, while 21 percent said they possessed significant positive traits, such as being affectionate.
The finding explains why some women stay in abusive relationships despite warning signs. Others stay out of plain fear of retaliation if they attempt to leave.
Still others may feel a sense of fear but ignore these instincts and stay in a relationship until it is too late to get out. A highly recommended book for anyone who suspects their partner may be abusive is The Gift of Fear: Survival Signals That Protect Us from Violence.
This book can help you recognize warning signs of a potential abuser and gives you strategies that can save your life if you find yourself in a dangerous situation. This book is essential reading for anyone who has questioned whether their partner would cause them harm, as well as for those who are in the dating scene, as this book can help you to spot red flags early on.
What are some signs that you or a loved one is in an abusive relationship?
Acts of violence, including pushing, hitting, slapping, choking, kicking or biting
Making threats to you, your children, other family members or pets
Threatening to commit suicide if you leave or do not listen
Putting you down, making you feel bad or humiliating you
Controlling your access to money, the car or the phone
Forcing you to have sex or preventing you from using contraception
Restricting your access to friends and family, or keeping you from going to school, leaving the house, etc.
Showing excessive jealousy and possessiveness
A typical abusive relationship may also go through a cycle of abuse, guilt and apologies, followed by a period of normal behavior, and then continued abuse. The Mid-Valley Women's Crisis Service offers the following scenario as an example of the full cycle of domestic violence:
Depression, anxiety and personality changes are all signs that a loved one may be stuck in an abusive relationship.
"A man abuses his partner. After he hits her, he experiences self-directed guilt. He says, "I'm sorry for hurting you." What he does not say is, "Because I might get caught." He then rationalizes his behavior by saying that his partner is having an affair with someone. He tells her "If you weren't such a worthless whore I wouldn't have to hit you."
He then acts contrite, reassuring her that he will not hurt her again. He then fantasizes and reflects on past abuse and how he will hurt her again. He plans on telling her to go to the store to get some groceries.
What he withholds from her is that she has a certain amount of time to do the shopping. When she is held up in traffic and is a few minutes late, he feels completely justified in assaulting her because "you're having an affair with the store clerk." He has just set her up."
If you believe a loved one may be suffering in silence at the hands of an abusive partner, the following are warning signs to watch out for … the person may:
Always agree with their partner, or act afraid or anxious to please them
Receive frequent harassing phone calls from their partner, or check in with them often
Have frequent injuries that are explained away as "accidents"
Show personality changes or become depressed
Have low-self esteem (even if they used to be confident)
What to do if You're in an Abusive Relationship
Domestic violence can not only lead to physical injuries and possibly murder, but it is also linked to depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse and suicide attempts. So leaving an abusive relationship is often crucial for your mental and physical health and safety.
Before leaving, however, you should make a plan as, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, "The most dangerous time for a woman who is being abused is when she tries to leave."
You should first decide when the best time to leave is, then pack a bag with essential items ahead of time. Decide exactly where you will go, including how you will get there. An offender can trace your phone calls and Internet activities, so be careful about discussing your plans with others.
If you're caught in an emergency situation, call 911 for help. You can also contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE for crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals to agencies that can help you. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

IMMORTALITY.
One of human kinds biggest obsessions is to become immortal. From time immemorial, we have had various people trying to increase longevity. Indian mythology is full of stories of people who have undergone severe penances to achieve this goal. Most of the people have been failures in this quest.
It also seems pointless to become immortal when we are living in a body subject to various ailments and illness. With a no-so-perfect physical body, it would seem that it is better to die than live on forever. As we grow older, our bodies steadily decay and deteriorate. Our sense organs begin to fail. Under such circumstances, would not death be a welcome state to progress into?
Despite this, our scientists want to fight nature and work on increasing the youth span as well as life itself. Very few people appreciate death. Very few realise that death is a natural way of the renewal process. Life is sustained and re-created only due to the certainty of death.
Yet, there is a way to become immortal. We become immortal when we lead lives that are perfect in every way; when we epitomise values in every breath of ours; when people look up to us to show the right way; when our lives are shining examples of love, compassion, selflessness, truthfulness and integrity.
The world will forever remember people who stood steadfast in the midst of adversity to uphold values. The legendary child Prahalad, the son of demon King Hiranyakashipu, despite being threatened with death did not forsake His Lord. Raja Harishchandra protected truth and honesty despite immense suffering. Mother Sita suffered for long but upheld her loyalty and commitment to her Lord Rama. There are many such inspiring and powerful stories of how people became immortal through their display of sterling characters.

ONLY WOMAN CAN....
A woman dreams ... with her heart, dreams of passion,
beauty and peace on earth.
A woman cries ... tears when she's wounded...replaced with
smiles when she knows she will heal soon.
A woman loves ... with her soul, deep and true ... with all that
she knows.....
A woman tries ... through every wrong, ... forgives past sins
and finds the strength to move on.
A woman gives ... everything inside her ... she does not hold
back because of the fears that remind her ... she could be hurt,
be taken in, ... a woman protects herself with the love that lies
within.....
Only a woman knows the secret truths that hide beneath the
surface of her warmth and kindness.
Only a woman knows the tender touch that can heal all
wrongs and relieve all fears.
Only a woman can give her all and have love left to give when
the giving is done.
Only a woman ... with a woman's heart ... can understand and
accept ... the many pains she will encounter.
Only a woman ... with a woman's heart ... can possibly know
the strength of her heart.....
A woman knows ... if all she owns was taken ... there are
parts of her, the best of her ... that nothing on earth can ever
take away ... the woman's heart, the woman's depths.
Only a woman knows ... it's the love within that makes her who
she is, and love without pain could be a love that is dead.

HEALING & CLEANSING WITH BARLEY
Healing and cleansing with barley High in fibre, barley is also a kidney cleanser. Better yet, regular intake of it helps prevent heart disease. BARLEY water was always a regular drink when we were still living at home. Whenever we had to go for a medical exam that included a urine test, my mum would make us drink barley water a day before it to make sure we got a positive result!
My mother was a wise woman. I later found out from an Australian
naturopath that barley is known to be a kidney cleanser, and he happily
downed glasses of it at a meal we had in a coffee-shop here.
Barley is good for your intestinal health too. Try to eat the barley
grains you find in your drink or sweet broth with fu chook (beancurd skin) and ginkgo nuts.
It's high in fibre which feeds the friendly bacteria in the colon and
helps speed up the transit of fecal matter in it. In this way it helps
prevent haemorrhoids and colon cancer.
The propionic acid and beta glucan from barley's insoluble fibre also help lower cholesterol and prevent the formation of gallstones.
Eating barley regularly is a preventive step against heart disease as,
besides the fibre content, it is also high in niacin, a B vitamin good for
lowering cholesterol.
Diabetics should eat more barley as the fibre will prevent blood sugar
levels from rising too high. It also provides relief from constipation or
diarrhoea for those suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Barley is rich in selenium which prevents cancer and relieves symptoms of asthma and arthritis. It is a good source of manganese, copper and phosphorous.
Malt sugar comes from sprouted barley which, when fermented, is an ingredient in beer and other alcoholic beverages.
Barley, whose Latin name is hordeum vulgare, has been cultivated for more than 10,000 years.
Since ancient times, barley has been used for healing purposes and has
been known to the Chinese, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. Athletes in
Greece and Rome in those days were known to eat barley bread to give them strength.
Besides the usual things we do with barley, I enjoy having it in a western soup. The larger pearl barley is used and I love the sticky bite of it. Here's a recipe for barley soup:
Barley soup with roasted garlic
1 cup pearl barley
5 cloves whole garlic, roasted
2 litres chicken stock, steeped from 1 chicken breast simmered in three litres water
2 tbsps vegetable oil
2 large onions, diced
2 carrots, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
150g turkey ham, cut up
1 tsp ground white pepper
1 tsps sea salt or to taste
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Method
1. Wash barley and soak it in a bowl of water for three hours. Drain.
2. Heat oil in pan and fry onions. Add carrots and celery, then the barley and fry for three minutes.
3. Add chicken stock, pepper and roasted garlic and simmer over low heat for at least an hour, or until barley is soft.
4. Add salt to taste and serve the soup garnished with chopped parsley.

5 cloves whole garlic, roasted
2 litres chicken stock, steeped from 1 chicken breast simmered in three litres water
2 tbsps vegetable oil
2 large onions, diced
2 carrots, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
150g turkey ham, cut up
1 tsp ground white pepper
1 tsps sea salt or to taste
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Method
1. Wash barley and soak it in a bowl of water for three hours. Drain.
2. Heat oil in pan and fry onions. Add carrots and celery, then the barley and fry for three minutes.
3. Add chicken stock, pepper and roasted garlic and simmer over low heat for at least an hour, or until barley is soft.
4. Add salt to taste and serve the soup garnished with chopped parsley.
TREAT EVRY ONE CORDIALLY
The world comprises of so many different people and characters. I have always found it useful to watch with the curiosity of a child and observe the differences in people without attaching a value to it. Some people are frank, some bold, some stupid, some secretive, some faithful, some suspicious etc.
Initially, I used to get attracted to people with positive and desirable attributes and used to detest the rest. However, time and grey hair have taught me that it takes all kinds to make up the world. In fact, the world would be a very boring place if everyone was alike or everyone was nice. As they say, all five fingers of the hand are different but together they can do so many useful things, I have come to believe that diversity is not only good but also necessary.
Having said that it is but natural that I tend to appreciate differences and would prefer to encourage the same. Also, at the core everyone is the same. Each one has similar set of physical endowments, similar desires and similar dreams. Each one is striving for the same thing and it is better to recognize this and appreciate everyone.
Treating people equally and well also has its advantages - people respond positively to you and the amount of reciprocative behavior is well worth the effort (if any). So, if you have a cranky neighbor or a nasty acquaintance or a naughty child, go ahead and smile at them and let them know that you accept them as they are. And see the difference !!

SPIRITUAL LAW OF SUCCESS
What Is Success?
“Success in life could be defined as the continued expansion of happiness
and the progressive realization of worthy goals.
Success is the ability to fulfill your desires with effortless ease.“
Success is a topic I’ve spent many hours pondering and I’ve come to realize that it is so much more than just material wealth. Material wealth is only a small portion of your collective success potential. It is an experience as part of our journey as spiritual beings and yes, material wealth may make this journey more comfortable, but let’s not neglect the other dimensions of success: the success of sound physical health, fulfilling relationships, meaningful friendships, joy of self-expression, freedom from fear, the capacity to understand people and self-mastery.
1. The Law of Pure Potentiality
“The source of all creation is pure
consciousness… pure potentiality seeking expression from
the unmanifest to the manifest.
And when we realize that our
true Self is one of pure potentiality,
we align with the power that manifests everything in the universe.“
Example Application:
•‘I will practice non-judgment. I will begin my day with the statement, “Today, I shall judge nothing that occurs,” and throughout the day I will remind myself not to judge.’
2. The Law of Giving
“The universe operates through dynamic exchange…
giving and receiving are different aspects of
the flow of energy in the universe.
And in our willingness to give that which we seek,
we keep the abundance of
the universe circulating in our lives.“
Example Application:•
‘Wherever I go, and whoever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. The gift may be a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. Today, I will give something to everyone I come into contact with, and so I will begin the process of circulating joy, wealth and affluence in my life and in the lives of others.’
•‘I will make a commitment to keep wealth circulating in my life by giving and receiving life’s most precious gifts: the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love. Each time I meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy, and laughter.’
3. The Law of Cause and Effect
“Every action generates a force of energy
that returns to us in like kind . .
what we sow is what we reap.
And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others,
the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.”
Example Application:
•‘Whenever I make a choice, I will ask myself two questions: “What are the consequences of this choice that I’m making?” and “Will this choice bring fulfillment and happiness to me and also to those who are affected by this choice?”‘
4. The Law of Least Effort
“Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease . . .
with carefreeness, harmony, and love.
And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love,
we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.“
Example Application:
•‘I will practice acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.’
•‘Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.’
5. The Law of Intention and Desire
“Inherent in every intention and desire is the mechanics for its fulfillment . . .
Intention and desire in the field of pure potentiality
have infinite organizing power.
And when we introduce an intention in
the fertile ground of pure potentiality,
we put this infinite organizing power to work for us.“
Example Application:
•“I will make a list of all my desires. I will carry this list with me wherever I go. I will look at this list before I go into my silence and meditation. I will look at it before I go to sleep at night. I will look at it when I wake up in the morning.”
6. The Law of Detachment
“In detachment lies the wisdom of uncertainty . . .
in the wisdom of uncertainty list the freedom
from our past, from the known,
which is the prison of past conditioning.
And in our willingness to step into the
unknown, the field of all possibilities,
we surrender ourselves to the creative mind
that orchestrates the dance of the universe.“
Example Application:
•“Today I will commit myself to detachment. I will allow myself and those around me the freedom to be as they are. I will not rigidly impose my idea of how things should be. I will not force solutions on problems, thereby creating new problems. I will participate in everything with detachment involvement.”
7. The Law of Purpose in Life
“Everyone has a purpose in life . . . a unique
gift or special talent to give to others.
And when we blend this unique talent with service to others,
we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit,
which is the ultimate goal of all goals.“
Example Application:
•‘I will make a list of my unique talents. Then I will list all the things that I love to do while expressing my unique talents. When I express my unique talents and use them in the service of humanity, I lose track of time and create abundance in my life as well in the lives of others.’
•‘I will ask myself daily, “How can I serve?” and “How can I help?” The answers to these questions will allow me to help and serve my fellow human beings with love.’

10 MYSTERIES
The top 10 mysteries scientists STILL can't explain
Magical moment: Kissing excited the pleasure centre of the brain
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fiona Macrae and Claire Bates
They have put a man on the moon and unlocked the secrets of the human genome.
But when it comes to the basics of human behaviour, scientists still don't have a clue.
Kissing, blushing and laughing are among the traits that have defied explanation by
biologists, physiologists, psychologists or evolutionary theorists.
Some hold that a kiss brings with it pleasurable memories of breastfeeding, and the love, comfort and security that went with it.
A less savoury suggestion is that we lock lips because we equate sharing saliva with pleasure.
Blushing also has the world's best brains flummoxed. Do we do it to appease, to seduce or to advertise our trustworthiness?
And why do we laugh at things that are not that funny? Scientists don't know.
Some of our most noble and fantastic activities - dreaming, altruism, art and superstition - feature in New Scientist's top ten unanswered questions about humanity.
More mundane mysteries also made it on to the list, including body hair and nose-picking.
Teenagers, inevitably, also pose a conundrum, with no other species going through an adolescent phase.
The transitional years may have evolved to give the brain the breathing space it needs to reorganise itself to deal with the demands of adulthood.
Or perhaps their purpose is to allow tomorrow's adults to find their feet.
Boys can learn how to be a real man before their bodies mature into that of a strong and potentially dangerous adult male. Girls, who go through puberty earlier, get the chance to practise acting like a grown-up woman.
Even nose-picking scrapes on to the list. Scientists charged with pinning down the motivation behind the habit, have so far concluded only that 'there isn't any significant nutritional content in nasal mucus'.
An editorial in New Scientist accompanying the list ponders on the strangeness of humanity, remarking: 'There is nothing more fascinating to most of us than ourselves.
'So it is hardly surprising that we have expended large amounts of effort trying to get to the bottom of what it means to be human.
'What is surprising is that there are still so many traits that remain enigmatic.
'These range from the sublime, such as art, dreaming and altruism, to the ridiculous - think pubic hair, blushing and nose-picking.'
But it goes on to say that in many cases, unlocking their mysteries can bring us closer to the heart of what it means to be human.
'They may seem quirky but the best explanations for them often have profound implications,' the piece concludes.
With that in mind, here are some scientists' educated guesses at how to explain the ten human habits that still mystify them:
KISSING
Not all cultures kiss, so the urge cannot be in our genes. Our lips are certainly one of the most sensitive parts of our bodies, with plenty of sensory neurons linked to the brain's pleasure centres.
Some believe it floods the brain with the love, security and comfort chemicals associated with breastfeeding. And our ancestors probably weaned their babies by mouth-to-mouth sharing of food, reinforcing the connection between sharing spit and pleasure.
Another idea is our foraging ancestors were attracted to red ripe fruit and so developed red lips to tempt sexual partners.
Kissing has been shown to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol and increase the bonding hormone oxytocin, so is good for our health and happiness.
BLUSHING
The explanation for blushing - a uniquely human trait - eluded even Charles Darwin who called it 'the most peculiar and the most human of all expressions.'
We may have originally used it to diffuse aggressive approaches by more dominant individuals. Over time it became associated with higher emotions such as guilt and embarrassment.
Neuroscientist's have noted that women blush more than men and therefore women may use it to demonstrate their honesty to men and foster trust.
'Blushing it tell you that I can't cuckold you,' V.S Ramachandran from the University of California said.
'If you ask me about infidelity I can't lie - my blush gives me away.'
SUPERSTITION
Most of us act according to certain superstitions, even though logic tells us there is nothing inherently lucky or unlucky about a black cat such as the one pictured above.
According to scientists our brains are designed to see patterns and infer cause and effect, which leaves us open to irrational beliefs.
But tending to fear the worst would have given our ancestors a survival technique and ensured they did not dismiss a lion's approach as a rustle in the grass.
Others say we have an in-built tendency to believe in the supernatural, something that religion has tapped into. Robin Dunbar from the University College of London believes religion's main function is to persuade a community to toe the line and promote cohesion.
Superstition also tends to increase in difficult circumstances, when people feel they are losing control over their lives. A study of people living in high-risk areas of the Middle East found they were more likely to carry lucky charms than other people.
ALTRUISM
Biologists believe that doing good deeds is part of human nature. They just can't decide why we do them.
After all, what is the point of helping others, if they are not guaranteed to return the favour? Robert Trivers of Rutgers University in New Jersey argues that natural selection favoured our altruistic ancestors because they could expect to benefit. However these tendencies became misguided as we developed a globalised world.
Others say altruism may help with group bonding - or perhaps we just like the buzz of doing a good turn.
ART
Art may be like the peacock's tail - an outward display that someone is a good catch.
For instance, a study by Geoffrey Miller at the University of New Mexico shows that women prefer creativity over wealth when their fertility is at its peak.
Others believe the drive to seek out aesthetic experiences evolved to encourage us to learn about different aspects of the world - those that our brain's have not equipped us to deal with at birth.
Ellen Dissanayake from the University of Washington said making an object or event 'special' would bond a social group together. It may have started as a ritual and then become more aesthetic.
TEENAGERS
As no other animal species has to suffer adolescence, it may have evolved to give the exceptionally large human brain time to reorganise itself to deal with the demands of adulthood.
'The brain is roughly the same size at 20 as it is at 12, yet we can do so much more with it,' David Brainbridge from the University of Cambridge said.
He concluded our teenage years 'are the most important part of human life.'
The period may allow tomorrow's men and women to test out their behaviour, safe in the knowledge they have plenty of time to right any mistakes and increase their chances of reproducing.
DREAMING
Dreams help us process and consolidate emotions without the rush of stress hormones that would accompany the real experience.
They also help with memory and problem-solving. People are better at recalling lists of related words and links between them after a night's sleep than after the same time spent awake in the day.
It was recently discovered that we can dream even outside of REM sleep. REM dreams were found to involve long stories with more emotion, while non REM dreams often involved friendly interactions. Patrick McNamara of Boston University believes REM dreams help us to cope with aggression, while non REM dreams support cooperative behaviour.
Now that most researchers reject Sigmund Freud's belief that dreams express our unconscious desires, the meaning of our visions in our sleep remains a mystery.
LAUGHTER
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall share a joke...
but scientists don't know what makes us laugh
--------------------------------------------------------------
Laughter boosts levels of feel-good endorphins, helping us bond with others. 'Laughing at' can be used to push people away.
But what makes us laugh is more tricky - a ten-year study found that most of us are more tickled by banal comments such as 'Do you have a rubber band?' than by supposedly funny jokes.
Apes maintain the ancestral 'pant-pant' laugh when they are tickled. In humans this developed into a 'ha-ha.' It can vary between natural laughter and aggressive, embarrassed or nervous laughter.
BODY HAIR
Humans are 'naked apes' but have thick hair around the genitals, while other primates have finer hair.
It may be that the hair may waft odours that signal sexual maturity and may also act as a visual signal of adulthood.
This situation is thought to have evolved 3.3million years ago - at the same time as lice.
PICKING YOUR NOSE
One in four teenagers engage in the habit, at an average of four times a day, a study found.
Scientists say the habit brings with it no nutritional benefits - although ingesting 'nasal detritus' might help build a healthy immune response. It may also decrease one's susceptibility to allergies.
The most recent research dates back to 1966 when Sidney Tarachow from State University of New York found people who ate bogeys found them 'tasty.'

I'LL GIVE YOU ALL
I am thinking of you
In my sleepless solitude tonight
If it's wrong to love you
Then my heart just won't let me right
Cause I've drowned in you
And I won't pull through
Without you by my side
I'd give my all to have
Just one more night with you
I'd risk my life to feel
Your body next to mine
Cause I can't go on
Living in the memory of our song
I'd give my all for your love tonight
Baby can you feel me
Imagining I'm looking in your eyes
I can see you clearly
Vividly emblazoned in my mind
And yet you're so far
Like a distant star
I'm wishing on tonight
I'd give my all to have
Just one more night with you
I'd risk my life to feel
Your body next to mine
Cause I can't go on
Living in the memory of our song
I'd give my all for your love tonight

DOES A CHEAT WIFE?
On the radio this morning, a topic came up on whether a man who cheats on his wife really love them?
Both sides had valid points. Guys were saying sex outside the marriage is simply a physical thing, a release so to speak,
nothing intimate about it, no emotional connection involved, as long as you hide it well, you should be okay.
Women were saying that if he truly loved his wife it just wouldn't happen period no matter the lust he felt,
or the temptation thrown his way, for him to cheat on her meant he really didn't care.
My personal opinion is yes, a man can love his wife yet get pleased sexually elsewhere besides home. Love isn't the problem here, respect is. I feel that once you decide to propose and get married, you should understand the responsi-
bilities that come along with that, especially fighting temptation. You CHOSE to take your relationship to the next level,
she said yes with full faith and trust in you, most women do take those vows seriously. Though to guys sex with some-
one else may not mean anything, they love their spouse to death and the last thing they want is to lose their family, to
the woman thats a pain thats very hard to take. You didn't respect her enough to avoid the one thing that is a sure re-
lationship ender. Mind you, in most cases the women find out either by the mans actions, or someone else, the last
thing you'd want is her finding out by someone else telling her or bringing it to her attention, now not only is she being
cheated on but also humiliated because others around her know but she doesn't. It's even worse when you have child-
ren because it shows lack of respect for your family life as a whole. It's like your saying you were willing to risk all of
that just for a simple relief that you could have gotten at home.
Or even worse such as in the McNair case, the wife finding out AFTER he dies!!! How do you get through something like that?!
You can't ask why, your hurt, angry, disappointed, here it is he's dead but your left with the questions not just from yourself
but the kids and everyone else!
How do you get through those emotions, anger, hate, love, hurt you name it! ...Wow I couldn't imagine.
I always tell people simply because you love someone is not enough of a reason to get married and start a family, both
people have to be mentally and physically prepared for such an undertaking, it takes a great deal of mat urity, compromise
and sacrifice. No relationship is easy but with the right amount of understanding and communication it can be made less hard.
Understand that issues that you had before marriage will not go away simply because your married, if your future husband is
a party-er, flirt, etc, that will NOT go away with marriage. If your future wife is insecure, jealous etc...that will not go away with
marriage. If two people are serious about making that step then certain things will start to wain before hand so that they can
go into the relationship with a clear mind and work on it together. Unfortunately that rarely happens. I can't tell you how many
weddings I've been too for friends, families and co workers where I'm saying to myself 'goodness these people should not be
getting married!' But to each it's own, where the delusion that once you get married all problems stop come from is beyond me
lolz.
So ladies I want to hear your take on this?
Guys I want to really hear your opinions as well.
In fact I want to hear how it would be taken if the shoe was on the other foot,
what would you do if you found out your wife whom never gave you an inkling of a clue as to her
'dipping' out on you, was cheating on you?
Would you accept the "it didn't mean anything" reasoning?
How would you take it if it came from your friends or peers?
Would you leave or would you stay?
If you stayed, how would it affect your trust and relationship as a whole, could you still look at her the same?
